On Monday March 16, Beds and Bars were crowned winners in the Best Accommodation category, at the 2015 Publican Awards.
At the event hosted by comedian and author David Walliams, Beds and Bars beat off stiff competition from Young’s, G1 Group and the Lucky Onion.
Robert savage, Press and PR Manager for the group said: “This was our fifth year in the running for the Best Accommodation award so everyone was absolutely thrilled with the outcome.
“The award not only recognises the incredible work of everyone in our team across Europe, but also important milestones for Beds and Bars, including selling one-million bed nights in just 12-months, and the company’s most recent (and best ever) EBITDA performance.”
Reflecting on the application and award process, the judges took specific note of occupancy rates as high as 95% and the development of an independent online booking engine, to reduce third party booking commissions.
Beds and Bars were also named as finalists in the award categories for Best Pub Employer (2-50 Sites) and Best Operations Team.
